When your current floor begins to look scratched and worn, it is not always necessary to remove it and install a brand new one.
Floor renovation is the process of restoring an old floor so that it looks as good as new.
The process involves sanding or buffing about 0.5mm off the top layer of your floor - removing the scratches and discoloured patches - and then applying fresh coats of oil or lacquer to the floor to give it a new protective layer.
After sanding, the floor can also be stained a different colour. This can make it look like a completely different floor.
The entire process takes roughly two to three days depending on the area. Renovations can only be carried out on real wood floors (engineered and solid). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
