  • Solid wood flooring
Definition – wood flooring that is one piece of wood from top to bottom. A wide variety of widths and lengths, generally with round tongues and grooves to assist installation
An Ideal choice - if you have an existing old wooden floor so can your new floor can be nail down without having to put down a plywood sub floor .
  • Veneer flooring
Definition – has a solid hardwood wear layer, constructed from several layers of material, bonded together under extreme pressure. A veneer floor has the ability to retain timbers’ natural tendency to expand and contract with temperature and humidity variances.
An ideal choice if - you want to incorporate under floor heating or you have an existing concrete floor. This floor is easy to install by gluing down the tongue and groove.
  • Laminate flooring
Definition – The top layer is formed from hardwearing ,melamine laid over highly accurate prints of a huge variety of patterns, around a core layer of high density fireboard which provide stability
. An ideal choice if – you require a hard wearing surface such as Kitchens or hallways. It doesn’t dent or mark and is low maintenance and great value.
  • Deciding on the look you want
Wood species vary in terms of grain, pattern. Colour and the number and size of knots. Even within the same species, no two pieces of wood are identical. Your choice of wood you select will depend on the decorative look you are seeking to create – for example traditional, rustic or contemporary and the atmosphere you want to generate – for example restful or lively.
  • Going with the Grain
We offer a wide range of species and grades in both veneer and solid wood flooring.
